Plans for the proposed footbridge to improve access to Dinosaur Island in Crystal Palace Park have been submitted to Bromley Council. These plans were discussed at the recent meeting of Penge Forum and received overwhelming support on the grounds that:
- Improved access was needed to facilitate the very important conservation work on the models.
- The proposed access bridge would be held in a secure and inaccessible position when not in use.
- The proposal made minimum impact on the existing landscape.
- The new access would facilitate further, controlled, visits to the island by specialists, volunteers and members of the public.
